Pelorus Learning was established in 2007 by experienced, creative and curious people with a passion for helping others achieve great things with their teams and organisations. Based in the UK with affiliated partners in Canada, Pelorus Learning offers clients: Leadership (and team) development, Facilitation, E-Learning design & delivery, Organisation effectiveness (design & interventions) and Executive Coaching.
Our international experience spans several industries including: - Banking, Education, Journalism, Leisure, Military, Oil & Gas, Public Sector and Telecommunications.

Natalie Macaulay
BSc, MSc, MCIPD, CHRP, Managing Partner, ConsultantNatalie has extensive experience in helping teams clarify strategy and develop increased capacity to lead people in high growth situations. Her practice focuses on leadership and team development, organization effectiveness and the implementation of HR strategies. Recent projects have included: leadership and team development for Field, Executive and Main Board teams; Workforce and Talent Management strategy development; Design and facilitation of a strategy planning conference and project managing HR readiness for a multi-national IT outsourcing project.

Natalie’s experience spans both Europe and North America. Her background includes roles as an HR Business Partner for Shell Oil Sands in Canada and previous experience as an HR Manager with Vodafone Global. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Oceanography from the University of Wales and a Masters of Human Resources Management from Portsmouth Business School in the UK. She is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel & development in the UK and a certified HR professional in Canada. Natalie holds dual citizenship of both the UK & Canada.
Natalie is both a Myers Briggs and OPQ (Occupational Personality Questionnaire) practitioner. Before moving into human resource management Natalie used to be a Seaman Officer in the British Royal Navy.
She currently spends her time between Calgary, Alberta and Arundel, West Sussex. She has a very naughty Lab Retriever called Sam who walks her daily.

Heather Pallas
BComm, MBA, CEC, Associate ConsultantHeather works to accelerate performance in individuals and organisations. Her practice focuses on executive coaching, facilitation, leadership training services and e-learning. Recent projects have included Strategic planning; Look Back / Lessons Learned; Front-line Leadership development & training; e-learning and Team building & team effectiveness.

Heather’s experience has been won in corporations such as TELUS Communications, Nortel Networks, Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceuticals and several small start-up companies and is based on strategic marketing, operations, leadership and life! In her last role at TELUS as General Manager of Alberta South Operations, Heather managed over 400 unionised journey people and 22 managers. Heather also provided the strategy for one of TELUS’ business units, which achieved over $800M in revenue, exceeding targets.
Heather is a continual learner and is qualified to lead in both the Myers Briggs and Strength Deployment Inventory. She is a Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University and an MBA from the University of Calgary, both in Canada.
Heather spends her time between Calgary and her cabin in Revelstoke, BC. In her time off she loves to mountain bike and snowboard. She also volunteers at the Alberta Children’s Hospital every 2 weeks with her Pyrenean Mountain Dog named Tinda.
