Did you know that the word 'philosophy' is Greek and means the ‘love of wisdom’? Our Learning philosophy here at Pelorus is quite simply that: it is a ‘love of learning wisdom’. We are curious people and want to help you and your organisation harness the learning potential you have. A Learning Organisation is defined as…

How we do what we do
Our business model is based on our ‘hedgehog’ (see Jim Collins’ ‘Good to Great’) model. Learning is something that we are passionate about, it is something we believe we are world class at and it drives our economic engine.
What this means for you, our client, is that you get our curiosity engaged on ‘your’ project. In addition to delivering what you ask for, we also aim to give you what you need.Our process is:
- To explore your precise needs and requirements considering the viewpoint of the learner and being respectful of their current experience
- Design a practical and innovative program which engages you and your learners and provides them with as much control over what they learn and how
- Deliver a great solution with maximum engagement and optimum feedback
Our approach is:
- A ‘blended learning’ one. We aim to provide the learner with the most compelling and effective learning and skill acquisition experience, delivered using the most appropriate delivery method whether classic face-to-face or utilising the very latest technology enabled learning products (many of which are absolutely free as open source software)
